What makes the LAC/RAC systems better

Collision Avoidance systems have never really been designed for a crane. They have been designed around sensors for other applications that then got fitted to work on a crane. Either with the use of interface relays, external power supplies parts supplied loose to fit inside an existing panel …

the LAC series has been designed from the ground up only to work on a crane. All the connections are made to work with existing common control voltages of a standard crane. When installing a system that requires a reflector this can sometimes be very frustrating and a time consuming process.

as the crane moves up and down the runway it can skew and other systems can have there beam come off the reflector / target which then it wont react as needed. The LAC series of systems don’t require a reflector as it reflects off natural surfaces and also has a 3 deg FOV so you have a little wiggle room in your target and don’t have to be dead online. Now the target can be the other cranes Girder or the wall/ structure itself.

then with the LAC installed due to the wifi interface you can now use your smart device or laptop to configure the slow/ stop setpoints as well as see the live distance readings. There is also many nice features like a bypass button inside the webapp so you can move the crane to an area you need while it is triggering the anti collision setpoints.

RACv2

The RAC is the next Generation of product we released.

It was designed from the ground up for Steel mill applications and nasty environments where light based sensors don’t work. excellent also for outdoor cranes as the sun, rain, snow don’t affect the signals. 1 Unit gets installed on Crane 1 the 2nd unit gets installed on crane 2. They communicate via RF to get a TOF signal that is turned into a calculated distance.

Due to both units range between them both are setup for full anti collision on each crane . Mean 1 pair does both directions.

  •  60-150M( 170-500ft) range based off antenna alignment
  • 4  240/120V relay outputs  2 slow , 1 stop , 1 RF loss
  • 1 120V input for bypass
  • IP68 rated enclosure
  • prewired cables 20ft
  • Point to point RF communication to get distance between each transceiver

From $5500 for the pair ( $2775 each)

LAC-12

Using Wifi we can now log into the system read the real time distance and change 2 relay set points from the web app. Getting the technician off the crane while setting the set points and distances makes the job much safer and more efficient.

  • 12M ( 39ft) range
  • 2  240/120V relay outputs
  • 1 120V input for bypass
  • IP68 rated enclosure
  • prewired cables in lengths of 15ft,30ft,60ft
  • 3 deg error in signal
  • reflectorless  use the other cranes grider as the target

From $640

LAC-30

Using Wifi we can now log into the system read the real time distance and change 2 relay set points from the web app. Getting the technician off the crane while setting the set points and distances makes the job much safer and more efficient.
